Sweet and Innocent...so they think

MakeUp - Benefit & Mac
Cardi - Portmans
Dress - Peter Alexander Slinky Nightie
Flower - Made by C
Skirt (out of shot) - Route 66

Sometimes its less about the fashion and more about the details.

As spring fashion hits the world of Melbourne and stores are flooded with hats, feather and thoughts turn to frocks I've decided to see if I can bring some of that fashion fun and flair to work.
So today's outfit was aimed at being a bit sugar and spice. Apart from the usually lingerie inspired top which was actually a shortie nightie from Peter Alexanders Winter 2 Range worn under a tight black pencil skirt with blue trim from Route 66; I added my fav little handmade necklace and massive ivory flower.

Cherries & Made By C

Sweet Cherry Necklace and Earrings by Made By C
Lady Luck Shirt by Sitch Witch
Sunglasses by Portmans

I do love my rockabilly style especially when it comes to my jewellery. As you can see I have gone for the classic red and black, as well as cherries. This is a great style as you can put your own twist on it.

Must admit there is nothing i find better than finding a local gal who can use simple pieces that capture the vibe I'm after. I wear a few pieces from Made By C, and have to giggle when I see simple pieces in mass produced stores like Diva.

So I guess what I'm really trying to say is keep your eyes open for the indpendant designers, online and in that big wide world of ours. A great little web site (apart from Etsy) is Shanalogic , where you can find all manner of things from T-shirts to necklaces from all around the world.

Washi Blossom Ring - Red & Jet
I just have to list a few more images of the amazing pieces for your lust worthy attention.

So I can only urge everyone to get clicking and see what treasures you can source for christmas and birthday presents. Happy looking

Todays theme is Maroon, blue and Gold

Ok so this has nothing to do with lingerie or fashion. Well maybe a little fashion, but mostly its football. Tonight Mr and I head out to the hallowed ground of the MCG for AFL Semi finals. Now I admit I am a Brisbane Lion living in melbourne (the home of AFL), so you can only guess at the excitement that greets me this morning as I wake to realise that in a few hours I will be dressing in my AFL finest to scream like a mad woman at the boys.

Top Ten reason for loving the Lions
1) I get to wear awesome gurnsy's at the game

2) You can watch the game while listening to music and have the best music video infront of you

3) You become part of a massive crowd holding their breath as one while we fight for goals

4) You can nickname the players to make it easier to follow. well I find it easier to yell out things like lukey, browny and bloodnut depending on who has the ball. shame some of my fav players have retired so i can no longer yell out "tell them your name pike", Scotty1, scotty2, GBH

5) You can get cool but odd accessories

6) You become part of a massive tribe that can be seen swarming their way to pubs, clubs and the game all day.

7) Triple Premiership - 2001, 2002, 2003

8) Just look at them

9) You get to have a pie, a beer and possible a quater time cornetto at the match

10) The team with special mention to Micahel Voss, Luke Power, Jonathan Brown, Simon Black, Daniel Rich, Daniel Merret, Travis Johnston,

You never know

Some days you find little gems in the places you least expect it.

Not so long ago Mr and I made our way to the other side of the city to visit Spotswood. I adore this little part of the world. Spotswood, Seddon, Yarra Ville they all have the vibe that time sort of stopped in about 1954 and the rest of Melbourne forget to say anything. However you do get a sense that the beatniks are about to make their way out of the workmans cottages at any moment and the next big thing will begin. However I digress.
Mr and I were heading to indulge our inner geek at the Scienceworks Star Wars exhibition. Must say its worth the drive to see these great pieces plus there is science for all you parents who think the kiddies should learn something.
Anyhoo, the other bonus is you get entry into scieneworks museum and one section is all about the home. That was when I happen to stumble across the greatest collection of 1950's kitchen wear and beauty items.

So the plan is to distract the guards while I break in and get all the kitchen goodness I can. It makes you wonder what your grandmother and mother did with all these items.

I am such a sucker for cute packaging

I'd love to have this aftershave bottle collection.

Lingerie of the Week

And the winner is.....
There are times when you want the sexy A team, and others went to pull out the B Team. Just because you are after the more comfort underwear rather than racy doesn't mean you have to be wearing the beige scary granny panties.

While out shopping the other day I came across this fabulous range of womens Hello Kitty underwear. Cute, comfy and rather well priced. Needless to say they just had to come home with me.

These 95% Cotton / 5% Spandex bra and panty sets for women feature Hello Kitty in black and white with pink and white bows in an all-over print. The soft-cup bra has adjustable, elasticized straps and the undies are bikini style. These fun sets are machine washable and easy care.

Purple Princess

Well somedays you need to do something a little different. Hence I decided that to pin curls would be my challange. Overall it worked well, nice curls considering my hair never usually stays curled once I've undone them.

So in the mood of fun and purple inspired smiles I went for this little combo.
