Now its no secret that I adore corsets, lingerie and suspenders. However I was recently asked where I find some of my 'modern vintage' pieces; to which I hate to reply one of my favorite UK stores Kiss Me Deadly

I have spoken about them before, but it never hurts to revisit old favorites now does it. Why do I like them? Its simple not only do they do brilliant 'modern vintage' pieces, they are also great about sizing and sending to Australia. However if you keep your eyes peeled you can find them in some very selected stores in Melbourne at least.

You may wondering why I'm suggesting ordering online from the UK when you can pick up a perfectly good suspender belt from Myer's or Bras'n'things. Well quiet frankly its all about the width of the actual suspender (the piece linking your stockings to the belt) and garter tabs (those pesky clasps that tend to not want to stay done up) on certain belts out there.

A great six strap suspender belt, with metal clips, is really the thing they do best. As well as the stunning vintage appeal the styles suit 40's and 50's glamor while still being very comfortable. And the best bonus.....they don't slide around while your wearing them. Not to forget that they use Metal garter tabs not plastic which stand up to better wear and washing.

Normally I would save one of these beautiful stunning designs for my lingerie of the week but I just can't. Agent Provocateur have just launched their Autumn range and as always its to die for. Even though I'm heading into spring and summer these little gems have just enough colour to be forgiven to think they were made for us here in little Melbourne town. so now to the pretties

The Van Doren bra prompted such positive feedback about its comfort that the team at Kiss Me deadly thought they'd add a twist of elegance. A diamond mesh fabric and an ivory contrast trim bring out its superb shape, and they've added a narrow suspender belt that’s boned with a non-stretch centre panel, which is perfect for a little bit of shaping that’s really easy to wear. This set is quite contemporary looking, but they've kept the full brief, complete with its diamond pattern rear.

This set comes in S, M, L and XL, for the six strap suspender belt, six strap cincher, brief and thong 32-36 B-DD and 38C-DD for the bra and will be released in early August.

Elegant Lingerie for Femme Fatales

Inspired by a haute couture bra from the Fifties. Made from eyelash and floral lace with satin contour panelling, it features a velvet ribbon lace up effect. Sailor girls were often featured in the work of pin up artists including Elvgren. The underwired Sailor bra is made from navy blue satin and powermesh and features a white trim around the top of the cups..


Cute deep knickers featuring satin covered buttons on the front panel echoing the button fastening used on the front of sailor trousers.

Vintage inspired 6 strap suspender belt made from navy blue satin and powermesh. Features 2 embroidered white stars on the front section of the belt (US sailor scarves feature 2 stars on the back) and white trim.

So i think it may be time to get the money order out and wait by the post box for a package of joy.
