Todays theme is Maroon, blue and Gold

Ok so this has nothing to do with lingerie or fashion. Well maybe a little fashion, but mostly its football. Tonight Mr and I head out to the hallowed ground of the MCG for AFL Semi finals. Now I admit I am a Brisbane Lion living in melbourne (the home of AFL), so you can only guess at the excitement that greets me this morning as I wake to realise that in a few hours I will be dressing in my AFL finest to scream like a mad woman at the boys.

Top Ten reason for loving the Lions
1) I get to wear awesome gurnsy's at the game

2) You can watch the game while listening to music and have the best music video infront of you

3) You become part of a massive crowd holding their breath as one while we fight for goals

4) You can nickname the players to make it easier to follow. well I find it easier to yell out things like lukey, browny and bloodnut depending on who has the ball. shame some of my fav players have retired so i can no longer yell out "tell them your name pike", Scotty1, scotty2, GBH

5) You can get cool but odd accessories

6) You become part of a massive tribe that can be seen swarming their way to pubs, clubs and the game all day.

7) Triple Premiership - 2001, 2002, 2003

8) Just look at them

9) You get to have a pie, a beer and possible a quater time cornetto at the match

10) The team with special mention to Micahel Voss, Luke Power, Jonathan Brown, Simon Black, Daniel Rich, Daniel Merret, Travis Johnston,

You never know

Some days you find little gems in the places you least expect it.

Not so long ago Mr and I made our way to the other side of the city to visit Spotswood. I adore this little part of the world. Spotswood, Seddon, Yarra Ville they all have the vibe that time sort of stopped in about 1954 and the rest of Melbourne forget to say anything. However you do get a sense that the beatniks are about to make their way out of the workmans cottages at any moment and the next big thing will begin. However I digress.
Mr and I were heading to indulge our inner geek at the Scienceworks Star Wars exhibition. Must say its worth the drive to see these great pieces plus there is science for all you parents who think the kiddies should learn something.
Anyhoo, the other bonus is you get entry into scieneworks museum and one section is all about the home. That was when I happen to stumble across the greatest collection of 1950's kitchen wear and beauty items.

So the plan is to distract the guards while I break in and get all the kitchen goodness I can. It makes you wonder what your grandmother and mother did with all these items.

I am such a sucker for cute packaging

I'd love to have this aftershave bottle collection.

Lingerie of the Week

And the winner is.....
There are times when you want the sexy A team, and others went to pull out the B Team. Just because you are after the more comfort underwear rather than racy doesn't mean you have to be wearing the beige scary granny panties.

While out shopping the other day I came across this fabulous range of womens Hello Kitty underwear. Cute, comfy and rather well priced. Needless to say they just had to come home with me.

These 95% Cotton / 5% Spandex bra and panty sets for women feature Hello Kitty in black and white with pink and white bows in an all-over print. The soft-cup bra has adjustable, elasticized straps and the undies are bikini style. These fun sets are machine washable and easy care.

Purple Princess

Well somedays you need to do something a little different. Hence I decided that to pin curls would be my challange. Overall it worked well, nice curls considering my hair never usually stays curled once I've undone them.

So in the mood of fun and purple inspired smiles I went for this little combo.

Lingerie of week

And the Winner is

Peter Alexander's new Fairy tale collection of lingerie.

Very pretty, soft knickers features frill around the front and back.Gorgeous low cut bra features frill detailing, subtle padding and adjustable straps in Carnation Pink. Super comfy! As well as frill knickers to match, what more could you want. Both in Polyester/ Elastane Woven

This current catalogue features two ranges - fairytale and dance. So there is a wonderful blend of playful and delicate fabrics, as well as cute and everyday lingerie.

I think I will be heading to my nearest store (no real surprise there) to get these ones.

A little bit cute

Yes thats right I've gone the dreaded c word.....CUTE I have no idea why, but in the last few weeks the desire to put on a floaty frock in honour of Spring has been overwhelming . Don't fear I am sure that I will be back in the pencil skirts soon enough.

so whats on the cards for today, as you may or may not of guessed I'm heading off to work in this loverly little number. Hopefully I will bring smiles to some and inspire others to get out of the work suit and into a spring number.

Make up is minimal and specially coloured to suit where I'll be working, which thankfully works well in photos as well.

I do love this outfit as it is just the right combination of sweet little girl and vintage princess.

Lingerie of the Week

And this weeks winner is...
Strumpet & Pink

Lingerie does not always have to be functional; Lingerie is often art. This is the case when it comes to the whimsical designs of Strumpet & Pink.

Strumpet & Pink is a British label and a collaboration between two amazing artists Lisa Z Morgan and Melanie Probert on a quest to create the perfect pair of knickers. So gorgeous, they’re almost too pretty to wear, the limited edition knickers are hand made from pure silk, satin, chiffon and crepe. Each pair of knickers is individually named with titles like ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’, 'Hunting Through the Ruffles' and 'Rosette Cheeks’.

Each pair holds a discovery, either in the form the knicker takes i.e by creating enticing entries which allow for various explorations; doorways and openings may be delicately outlined with seed pearls, some have layers of pure silk ties and ruffles to unlace, some are covered in an abundance of flowers while others, quite simply, become a flower. Or the woman who wears the knickers discovers something within herself simply by wearing them.
