Yay...more packages

As the year draws to a close I tend to realize that I still have gift vouchers from last Christmas that I need to spend.  No I'm not the gal that forgets she has them only to find them two months after they expire, rather I get vouchers for places where the choices are so overwhelming that it takes me for ever to decided on what I'll get. 

Thankfully I was finally able to decided on a few items from one of my favorite Queensland stores called Berserk.  You may not know who they are so I'll let you know they are a great team based in Bowen Hills in Queensland Australia who have been bringing some of the coolest items to our shores since 2001.  

Plus their service is amazing, I ordered my pieces at 5pm on monday afternoon with regular postage and had them in my hot little hands Friday lunch time.  I mean how cool is that, plus with the parcel ID I could even see when it landed in Melbourne and the postman had picked it up for delivery.  Over all I couldn't be happier.

Right now I guess your saying to yourself "Sure the service was great Tiki but what did you get???"  Well....I got all the items from the images on the left. Yep that's right I picked up a sailor dress, Ariel the mermaid singlet and cute sailor top.  Plus I also picked up a couple of magazines for a bit of quiet reading.   I was also so pleased to find that measurements displayed online were exactly what was delivered.  As I'm sure we all hold our breath the first time we try something on from a mail order purchase.  But yes everything fitted and I couldn't be happier.  So to Fleur and all your team a big THANK YOU as I now have some of the coolest things to wear to work.

Gorgeous Red hooded coat with Black trimming made from polyester & wool mix fabric so it is super warm!
Fully lined with a quilted satin effect polyester, with a double breasted front with button fastenings and a thick black faux fur collar, cuffs & hems and a super cute detachable hood with matching fur trim & drawstings & pom-poms. It has two waist pockets with bow details and a fully adjustable corset lacing on the back.

Myrtel Skir

Red taffeta skirt with flocking in a Victorian wallpaper style.
Channels in the front and back of the skirt with ribbons which can be pulled to gather the skirt.
V-shaped inserts on the front with ribbon detail.
Underlayer in self fabric which shows below the top layers.
Both layers have 2 ruffles on the edge in self fabric.
Corset style detail in the centre back with bronze coloured D rings and black satin lacing.
Zip in side seam.
 

 
 

B-Movie 50'S Dress

Printed 50's style dress with B-movie posters in black, red, green, yellow and white. Seams come over the bust for shaping & there is a full circle skirt. Black cotton halterneck strap which can be adjusted by tying at the back to fit wearer. Waistband and collar detail on front bodice in black cotton. 3 black cotton covered buttons on centre front of bodice. Collar detail on back & zip in centre back seam.

Its a small world

Sometimes I wonder how many people see the same things. I have a weakness for a perfume known as harajuku lovers, partly for the scents and party for the bottles. I already have the original version of the perfume known as Love, and I adore the fact that at least once a year they release either new scents or limited edition mini bottles. I was extremely tempted by these latest editions as the bare a very close resemblance to some of my fav t-shirt designs from Bersek clothing. Hint Hint anyone who wants to know what to get me for christmas.

As race season approaches so does the 'Mad Hatter's' Tea Party (Melb Cup Eve)- Monday 1st Nov at Burlesque bar. Oh no another excuse to find a fantastic frock. I have been in contact with the team at Beserk Clothing in Brisbane and they have suggested this cute corset number.

Its a 3 Piece Strapless Corset with matching Tutu Skirt & G-String. In a super Cute Corset designswith a sweetheart shaped cut with black lace trimming and ribbon bows, Lace up at the back, & pvc boning.
A great way to reduce your waist by up to 4 inches and flatten the tummy!

Tutu is seperate from the corset so can be worn with or without! So I may also add one of my longer black petticoats and add some funky purple stockings and witch inspired boots. Watch this space for more ideas

Circa Nocturna

Well its that time of the year.... amazing fashion and art is coming to Melbourne. Of course Amanda Palmer is hitting town at the end of feb, plus Circa Nocturna is coming up in march so fingers crossed amazing designers like Berserk will be back this year. Maybe Kitten D'amour will also come down.
